Statement of Principles
The ability for anyone to chart their own destiny. It should take priority over government constraints. Government power should be limited to actions that protect personal liberty and also enable its citizens to live peaceful lives with justice and equal opportunity for all. Government should not be a burden, but rather a partner to ensure the American Dream is open to every citizen.
LAW AND ORDER
Law and order must be maintained by recognizing crime victims have the same rights as those accused of crimes. Law enforcement should be recognized for their dangerous and vital work and the small minority among them who act inappropriately be held accountable for misdeeds.
Those who dissent should be allowed to express their views freely, without intimidation or attempts by government, or their allies, to silence those views.
FREEDOM AND TAXES
That individuals and small businesses should be able to keep as much of their own money as possible so they have more say, more choice, on how their money is spent.
The truly vulnerable among us should be cared for. Social service programs should be required to set clear, practical outcomes in order to ensure those in need are best served, taxpayer dollars are most effectively utilized and cycles of dependency are broken.
The government should assist the engine of prosperity with sensible policies that avoid burdensome fees and unnecessary red tape and, instead, help cultivate economic growth.
EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE
Solutions to many challenges, such as education and healthcare, are best met with innovation and greater consumer choice, not government control.
SENSIBLE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
We embrace environmental policy that recognizes that a stronger economy and cleaner environment are not mutually exclusive and that both areas require our ongoing commitment.
Our judges should adhere to the principles outlined in the U-S constitution and provide less weight to their own political philosophy.
GOVERNMENT CLOSEST TO THE PEOPLE
We can first begin to achieve these goals in local elections --- county, town, city, village, school board, etc. and we encourage citizens to look closely at these possibilities.
THE AMERICAN SPIRIT
We believe that nothing is beyond our grasp and no challenge is too great for us to meet. We believe our resolve to advance these principles is a noble mission and we invite our fellow citizens to join us in this patriotic endeavor.
Please support these wonderful principles. Please contribute today!
